Botox & Neurotoxin Injections
Does Doucet Med Spa offer Dysport?
No. Doucet Med Spa currently only offers Botox as its neurotoxin injectable; Dysport, Jeuveau, and Daxxify are not offered.
What is the difference between Botox and Dysport?
Botox and Dysport are both brands of botulinum toxin (often called “neurotoxins”) that relax facial muscles to smooth wrinkles. Botox, made by Allergan, is the original neurotoxin on the market and has the longest track record of research and results. Dysport is a newer neurotoxin brand made by a different manufacturer.
Why doesn't Doucet Med Spa offer Dysport, Jeuveau, or Daxxify?
Doucet Med Spa previously offered other neurotoxin brands but discontinued them after patients reported the results didn’t last as long and led to more complaints compared with Botox. Based on that patient feedback, Botox was identified as the neurotoxin with the best, longest-lasting results, so it’s the only one currently offered.
What is the difference between Botox and dermal fillers?
Botox and fillers are both popular injectables, but they work differently. Botox relaxes the muscles that cause expression wrinkles, such as frown lines or crow’s feet. Fillers add volume, smooth fine lines and folds, enhance facial contours, lift and restructure the skin, improve facial symmetry, correct under-eye hollows, and hydrate the skin. Many patients use Botox and filler together for a more complete, natural-looking result
What brand of dermal fillers does Doucet Med Spa use?
Doucet Med Spa uses the Juvéderm line of fillers, which, like Botox, is made by Allergan.
How does BOTOX® Cosmetic work?
Movement of the muscles of the face causes the skin to crease. Over time the skin becomes less elastic. Repeated movement creates visible lines. BOTOX relaxes these muscles thereby softening lines and wrinkles in the skin.

Is Treatment with BOTOX® Cosmetic painful?
Botox injection is a simple 15-minute process consisting of a few tiny injections with a fine gauge needle. Topical numbing cream or a cold pack may be used prior to injection. Any discomfort is usually minimal and brief.
Will my facial expressions continue to look natural?
Although results are visible, BOTOX® Cosmetic will not radically change your facial expressions or make you look like you’ve “had work done”. The muscle activity that causes wrinkles is simply reduced, so you can still frown or look surprised, you’ll just be surprised without the wrinkles!
When will I see results and how long will they last?
